Pediatric Telemedicine Consultations
Sometimes you want insight without a long drive or a day away from home. Telemedicine gives you flexible access to cardiac consultation without traveling to the office. A telehealth visit is not a comprehensive cardiac evaluation, but it's a useful option for discussing symptoms, reviewing outside records, following up on results, or deciding whether an in-person evaluation is needed.
For New Patients
A telemedicine visit is a good place to start if you want to discuss your child's symptoms, talk through their history, or decide together whether an in-person evaluation is needed. It is also a good option if you want me to review outside records and give you my opinion.
Most patients need a physical examination (including vital signs), an electrocardiogram (ECG or heart rhythm test), and in many cases an echocardiogram (heart ultrasound) for a complete cardiac assessment, however this may be an especially helpful option if you live far away or have a very young child.
For Established Patients
Telemedicine works well for following up on symptoms, reviewing results, adjusting a plan, or answering questions that do not require an examination or new imaging.
What to Expect
I use secure, encrypted, HIPAA-compliant video technology designed to protect your family's privacy. While no digital tool can be 100% risk-free, these systems meet rigorous healthcare security standards to keep your information safe. You will receive a secure link before the appointment. Please find a quiet place with reliable internet or cellular service for the whole visit and complete your intake forms in advance.
There is no virtual waiting room, and appointments start on time. If the visit is for a child, please make sure your child is available to join the visit.

Location requirement: I serve patients physically located in California at the time of their visit.
Who This Is NOT For
Telemedicine is not appropriate for:
- Patients located outside California at the time of the visit.
- Patients who need a physical examination, ECG, or echocardiogram to answer their question.
- Medical emergencies (call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room).
