How It Works
From the moment you schedule to the ongoing care that follows, I designed this practice to be straightforward and focused entirely on you and your child. Here is how it works.
Schedule Directly
No referral required. Appointments are typically available within one day to one week.
Why it matters:
When your child has symptoms or you are waiting on an answer about your baby's heart, prompt evaluation can make a real difference in diagnosis and care.
Records Reviewed Before Your Visit
Prior imaging reports, electrocardiograms (ECGs or heart rhythm tests), and clinical notes are reviewed in advance. Upload documents through the patient portal at least 2 business days before your visit. For urgent appointments, records are reviewed as time allows.
Why it matters:
Arriving with your child's history already reviewed means the visit is spent on answers rather than on catching me up.
Comprehensive Evaluation
- On-site ECG
- On-site echocardiogram (when indicated), performed and interpreted by me during the visit
- 7 or 14 day heart rhythm monitoring ordered when indicated, conveniently mailed to your home and interpreted by me when returned
- Time to explain findings in simple terms, with drawings, and to answer every question
- I do not rush visits. Standard new-patient pediatric cardiac evaluations are scheduled for 60 to 90 minutes (depending on whether specialized imaging is needed), and follow-up pediatric cardiac visits are set for 45 to 60 minutes.
- These structured time blocks are designed to give us the unhurried space needed to review your child's health thoroughly, complete any necessary diagnostic work, and answer every question.
- My primary goal is that you leave each visit with total clarity and a clear plan forward. If a complex situation ever requires more time than our visit allows, we will seamlessly map out next steps together so your family always feels fully supported.
A Clear Plan
- A written summary of findings and recommendations after your visit, available in the patient portal
- Direct communication with your pediatrician, obstetrician, or referring physician
- Transparent pricing on the website for any testing or service provided by our office
- Ability to use your insurance for outside imaging or labs, if your plan allows
Ongoing Support
- Portal access for questions about the plan we made together
- Follow-up appointments scheduled when new questions or symptoms come up
- Long-term surveillance for conditions that need monitoring over time
